Thanks to the UFC, model and TV show host Arianny Celeste has the career of her dreams. As one of the first UFC Octagon girls, she’s been with the sport since 2006 and has seen it grow over the years into the wildly popular combat sport it is today. “It’s the fastest growing sport in the world,” she says. ”It’s been such a roller coaster ride traveling with the company and growing with the company. There are fights all over the world and it’s amazing to be a part of it.”
No matter what the sport or competition, being the champ isn’t easy. It takes determination, focus and oh so much work. Anthony De Guzman, our 2014 Tuner Battlegrounds Champion, is no stranger to any of those words. He knows what it means to put in the work to succeed and chase your vision until it’s a reality. And, as those of you in Winnipeg know, he’s no stranger to building some pretty noteworthy cars.
Edgar Lopez built a beauty for his pops. Whether it be the manner in which MJ appeared to effortlessly weave through defenders en route to the hoop or how a Kendrick Lamar lyric rolls off the tongue, any art form is best when its perceived naturally. Building custom cars—a form of art in itself—is certainly no different, as the best works are those that look flawless yet still leave the onlooker scratching their head.
Amani Wheels brought the rides while Rich Homie Quan and Yo Gotti brought the music to the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The new BMW i8 is not your ordinary or traditional sports car – it’s an evolution of BMW’s “Ultimate Driving Machine.” The plug-in hybrid sports car is on everyone’s radar at the moment, thanks to its exhilarating driving experience from its all-electric motor combined with the power of a TwinPower Turbo engine and futuristic styling cues. During our trip to the “A” to visit our pals at Butler Wheels & Tires, we hooked up with Cartunes of Atlanta to get our hands on one of these green rides and slapped a set of Forged SV62 Savini Wheels in a sleek black and white finish!

The custom-car world thrives on innovation, and since there are only a few people who build cars that are truly “different” from the rest, the car game advances only when major builds break tradition and set trends. The main obstacle for innovation is making things fit together and work. The owner of this El Camino, CJ, broke the barriers of its design and never let anything prevent him from making it the most innovative Elco yet—further advancing custom-car culture.
Life’s a journey, or so the saying goes. Cliché? Perhaps. But for many of us, getting to where you want to be is never a direct route. There are detours, stops and dead ends, but for those set on making it to their final destination, the ride is always worth it. Case in point: Rothsen Valdez and his GT-R. It’s one of the meanest and most intimidating wide bodies – let alone GT-Rs – we’ve ever seen.
Can we all agree that AMC’s AMX was Kenosha’s finest? These short-wheelbase smokers were one of AMC’s proudest moments—if not the proudest. Introduced at the height of the muscle-car era in 1968 and only available in this configuration for three years, they were a higher level of AMC nirvana than the similarly styled Javelin. For Kamloops, British Columbia’s Kevin Mervin, it must be heaven, as he’s owned this X for 31 years.
