In conjunction with Valspar Custom will have 3 new vehicles highlighted at this hears 2016 SEMA. Valspar will hightlight the Custom Shop’s new Ruby fire a customized 1977 Trans AM in its North Halls Booth 10851
Valspar will also showcase Custom Shop’s Furious 58, its 1958 Belvedere project, outside the convention center.
The Custom Shop of Flanagan owned by the Wargo family, has long been a staple at SEMA. The company began showing their custom builds at the show since the late 1990’s
Design and project features of the Showcase vehicles are as follows”:
The 1977 Trans Am by The Custom Shop was a complete frame-off sheet metal ground-up build. It features a 450 HP LSX Chevy stacked injected engine with Holley electronic fuel injection, Moser rear-end, Wilwood brake system, American racing wheels, Continental tires and MagnaFlow exhaust. It is modified with custom ground effects, fender vents, wicker bill wing and more.
The vehicle is finished entirely in Prospray colors including Ruby Red, Wilderness Candy, Mystical Pearl, and Spectra Flair. Wargo cleared the car with PSC-8500.
The 1958 Belvedere features a 700-horsepower, 6.1 Hemi engine with a P1SC ProCharger, paired with a NAG1 transmission. Other highlights include a custom chassis, Moser 9-inch rear-end, Wilwood brakes, American racing wheels, MagnaFlow exhaust, modified and tucked bumpers, shaved molding, and smoothed window tracks.
The hand-built audio system includes a 2,000-watt Sony Audio system with 16 speakers.
