QA1 – New Mustang Carbon Fiber Driveshaft’s Released

QA1 now offers its REV™ Series carbon fiber driveshaft's for 1979-2004 Mustangs.

These award-winning carbon fiber driveshaft’s are designed for vehicles with up to 750 HP with a max rated torque of 500 lb.*ft. They are specifically designed to fit 1979-1995 Mustangs and Capri 5.0L vehicles with T-5/SROD/C-4/AOD transmissions; 1979-1993 Mustangs with Tremec transmissions and 7.5” or 8.8” axles; 1996-2004 Mustangs; and 1996-1998 4.6L Cobras with manual transmissions. For Mustangs with higher horsepower, custom carbon fiber driveshaft’s are also available.

QA1's Mustang driveshaft’s feature CNC machined forged tube yokes, Spicer Life Series U-Joints, a 28- or 31-spline slip yoke on the front and a lightweight rear flange yoke made from forged aluminum. The rear flange yoke is a four-bolt design that includes a 2.0” pilot diameter and a 3.5” bolt hole circle.

Like the rest of QA1’s REV™ Series driveshaft’s, these driveshaft’s are wound in-house using an exclusive 3M™ Matrix Resin. This resin was developed specifically for motorsports and utilizes spherical nanoscale silica, the properties of which result in increased torque capacity and longevity. This resin is what gives a QA1 driveshaft its distinctive blue tint.

QA1 driveshaft’s are lighter and stronger than steel, aluminum and other carbon fiber driveshaft’s, all while providing dramatic safety benefits. Their strength and weight savings mean extended transmission and differential life, quicker acceleration and more power to the ground. For additional lengths or applications, custom carbon fiber driveshaft’s are also available.

Extensively tested before, during and after production to ensure the highest quality, QA1's REV™ Series driveshaft’s are proudly made in-house in QA1’s Lakeville, Minnesota facility.
