The Tesla announced its Model 3 will finally make its world debut at 8:30 PM Pacific on March 31. Actual availability will not be until sometime late 2017, but dedicated buyers get to stand in line to be one of the first people to own this potentially hot car.
Deliveries are now scheduled to begin in late 2017, starting first on the West Coast for the New EV. After the Californians get theirs, and as Tesla starts to ramp up production, deliveries to the balance of the US and International markets are to start at unspecified dates.
As in the past, current Tesla owners will also get one priority reservation for each of the company's vehicles they own. Tesla will open Model 3 reservations at the same time as the world debut March 31. Buyers can place deposits online but Tesla states that buyers going to one of the EV maker's showrooms will guarantee a higher once the process begins.
That news should trigger observers to expect a new iPhone model like in store phenomenon, but this time over a 35K vehicle almost sight unseen. Reports that enthusiast are already organizing camp puts at company stores
Tesla announced US reservation deposit minimum of $1,000.00 for the Model 3,with deposit money is refundable if people change their minds.
Model 3 is targeted to start around $35,000 and is expected to get over 200 miles on a single charge.
