Benz unveiled a design concept for the brand’s upcoming pick-up truck as a joint project between Daimler and Nissan Motor Co based on Nissans Navara pick-up, but speculation surrounds as to whether this pick-up will ever make it to the US.
Early on it seemed as though the truck would remain confined to Europe and South America where it is currently planned to be built. However, the massive demand for trucks in the US market may say that decision.
There has been no such confirmation from Mercedes-Benz that the pickup truck will make its way to this market yet, but recent statements by Mercedes officials make it seem likely that it will ultimately occur. In addition, Mercedes he has been speaking with its U.S.-based dealerships in order to gauge consumer and dealer interest in a Mercedes-Benz branded pickup truck.
Judging by the demand for trucks in the US, it is not a big stretch to see the premium Mercedes Pickup truck be a success.
